The first SPHD rifle released at the end of 2003 with orders going through the end of Jan 2004 was a huge success! We sold about twice as many packages as we expected plus another large batch of “custom” deviations of the packages. This package will be slightly different.

With the first SPHD rifle came unforeseen issues and problems that we didn’t adequately plan for. We have since learned from our mistakes (purely managerial and not quality) and are correcting those of this new package offering. Orders will be take for 4 months with a shipping date of 5 months from the time your 50% deposit is received and cleared. On the last package we waited until the end of the ordering period before we started building ALL of them. This time we will start building right away and alleviate the bottle neck and backlog issue.

The other new standard for the SPHD package II will be deviations from the packages. There will be NO deviations from the packages and options available. If you want to make changes, then you will not be ordering a SPHD package so the pricing and timeline will not apply. There is absolutely no problem building the custom rifle of your choosing, we just want everyone to understand that it won’t be at the package pricing. The packages are what they are and options are what they are.

The last thing you may notice with this package is the family of products we are developing a new relationship with. We have searched out new parts with equal or superior quality as previous parts. These new company’s prices are also about 1/3 less then previous companies so we can continue to keep the complete package pricing down. You can expect reviews and news releases on these individual parts in the immediate future. Rest assured, if we are using the product on our rifles, then it meets the highest standards. We wouldn’t put our stamp of approval on it if we didn’t believe in it!

The SPHD II SWS is a limited run. Orders will be taken from Friday July 23 rd through October 31 st 2004. October 31 st is the last day of the Sniper’s Paradise Sniper Challenge. So all orders on the 29 th – 31 st will have to be at the competition itself. The whole HD Rifles crew will be there with us having a great time.

A 50% deposit was required with all orders. Your rifle will have a 5-month build time and that timeline will begin once your deposit is received and cleared. Final payment will be required at the end of the rifle's build time and before it ships to you, the end customer. All prices below do not included shipping. Shipping is an additional charge.

TPS TSR Rings – Steel or Stainless

Tolerances held to .0002", give maximum scope/ring contact. Holds scope securely against recoil. Four-screw cap lets you align the reticle, tighten the left side of the cap, then the right side without the scope rotating. Radiused edges and corners help prevent snagging while providing attractive appearance. Large, clamp-nut lets you torque rings.

TSR Steel Series Rings SPECS: precisely machined from an alloy steel billet, with Alloy Steel, black oxide finish to Mil-C-13924 standards. 5/8" (15.8mm) wide.

TSR Stainless Series Rings SPECS: Mil-STD 1913 (Picatinny) bases. SPECS: 416 Stainless Steel Alloy, bead blasted matte finish. 5/8" (15.8mm) wide.

One-piece scope rail, a standard in quality that only Tactical Precision Systems can deliver. The XP™ scope rail features a integral recoil shoulder to eliminate the base from moving under heavy recoil. It has a full length Mil-STD 1913 (Picatinny) rail, built to military specifications, as well as being fully compatible with Weaver-style rings. The entire scope rail is CNC machined, with the same standards and quality as all of the products from TPS. The scope rail is precisely machined from an alloy steel billet black oxide finish to Mil-C-13924 standards. The XP™ bases are supplied with (4) four 6-48Torx® screws and wrench for reliable and trouble-free installation.

Oversized recoil lug - Thicker (.312" precision ground), taller, tapered and radiused corners on the bottom for ease of installation, 4142 hardened steel.

Shilen trigger - To fill the need for an extremely reliable trigger that releases crisply, without "creep" and inconsistency in pull pressure. This trigger provides predictable, positive adjustments for attaining trigger performance tailored to a specific use. These gems of materials and machining are steel bodied. All moving parts are heat-treated and sear surfaces are ground and polished. Even the allen head adjustment screws are heat treated! This specialized hunting trigger is three-way adjustable for weight of pull, sear engagement, and over-travel. Pull weight is adjustable from 1 1/2 to 3 pounds. 

Celt bolt mod and oversized knob - Another step in making the rifle as "bullet proof" as possible.

1. Drill, tap and counter sink three 6-48 holes in the portion of the handle that wraps around and is silver soldered to the bolt. The holes go completely through the bolt body.
2. Fit three Torx head 6-48 screws and solder them in place with a low heat solder rated at 10,000 PSwe tensile strength.
3. The screw heads are absolutely flush with the bolt handle, and the ends are flush with inside of the bolt body.
4. Oversized bolt knob allows fast, easy access to bolt, even with gloved hands. No more holding the bolt handle with two fingers to pass the scope bell. The extra size and length gives unparalleled control of the bolt. Provides extra leverage for stuck rounds. 7075 T6 Aluminum alloy to keep the weight down
5. The bolt handle, and entire bolt is blasted and coated with HD coat.
