Physicians for Social Responsibility believes that America's epidemic of gun
violence is a public health challenge. PSR's Violence Prevention Program works
nationally to provide analysis of the issue from a public health perspective,
and to promote realistic violence prevention methods among the public, lawmakers
and the media. PSR aims to address the issue of gun violence locally by
educating health professionals about violence prevention and mobilizing them to
